Our Story
GOcacao was inspired by our founder (Finn’s) summer job in 2024 at a leading Thai craft chocolatier. Finn was looking for an opportunity to gain some work experience and learn about something we have loved since childhood – chocolate. After numerous visits to cacao farms and fermentation centers, he came to realise the significance of fermentation in determining the value and flavor of cacao. Many farmers lacked proper equipment, tools, and a consistent scientifically-backed method of fermentation. This inspired him to form a team to develop GOcacao and a Cacao Fermentation Optimiser to bridge this gap – making fermentation easy, consistent, and high quality.
